In a major reshuffle in the administration, the government has appointed two Secretaries as Secretaries of two divisions under the Home Ministry and transferred Senior Secretary of the Commerce Ministry Hedayetullah Al Mamun to the Finance Ministry.
The Public Administration Ministry issued separate orders in this regard on Wednesday.
Besides, six Additional Secretaries have been promoted as acting Secretaries of different ministries through separate orders.
According to the orders, Senior Secretary of the Commerce Ministry Hedayetullah Al Mamun has been transferred as Senior Secretary of the Finanance Ministry as the tenure of Senior Finance Secretary Mahbub Ahmed ended on December 29 last.
Cultural Affairs Secretary Akatari Momtaj has been appointed as the Secretary of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC). As the post became vacant after Nurun Nabi Talukder went on post-retirement leave (PRL).
Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Department Faizur Rahman Chowdhury has been transferred to the Livestock and Fisheries Ministry while Livestock and Fisheries Secretary Maqsudul Hassan Khan has been transferred to the Textiles and Jute Ministry.
In addition, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division Shamsundur Sikder has been transferred to the Posts and Telecommunications Division.
Acting secretary of the ministry of Textiles and Jute Shubhashish Bose has been transferred to the Ministry of Commerce as acting Secretary while Director General (DG) of the Government Employees' Welfare Board has been promoted as the acting Secretary.
DG of NGO Affair Bureau Asadul Islam has been promoted to the Ministry of Youth and Sports as acting Secretary and Registrar of the Cooperatives Directorate Mofizul Islam has been transferred to the IMED as acting Secretary.
Additional secretary of the Ministry of Public administration Ibrahim Hussain Khan has been transferred as acting Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
