Three names for the two posts of deputy governor at the central bank have been recommended, and sent to the prime minister's office, by the search committee on Sunday afternoon.
The search committee, formed by the government to find suitable candidates for the posts, finalised the names at its final meet.
The posts remained vacant since two deputy governors were removed in March over BB cyber heist.
The committee finalized the three names out of 18 they interviewed, economist Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, the head of the three-member search committee told reporters on Sunday.
He said currently there are two posts for the deputy governor, however, the government now would decide whether they would appoint one, two or all of them.
