As we all understand, economic development for a country like Bangladesh requires innovative ideas and approaches in business. Bangladesh, having 70% of its population under the age of 35, is poised for a double digit growth trajectory. Economic development of Bangladesh is thus largely dependent on this young population’s innovation and creativity in generating value for the economy.
In line with this hypothesis, hundreds of young entrepreneurs from across the country have come up with a very interesting and innovative approach of entrepreneurship - they have literally turned the mighty social media site Facebook into a very effective online marketplace for several categories of high-end goods. Due to their creativity, Facebook is no more only a social networking site. It is much more.
For this reason, after a heavily successful episode in 2015, National F-commerce (Facebook commerce) Summit is back with a bang for a second season. This year, entrepreneurs, policymakers, industry insiders, media, domain experts will again be brought under one roof to discuss and create a unified voice for these businesses for the ultimate goal of economic prosperity of our beloved motherland Bangladesh.
20 businesses will be showcasing their products and services and along with this, to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs who are doing business in Facebook, National F-commerce summit will host the “GS F-commerce Award 2016.” F-commerce businesses can nominate their business for this award by simply visiting www.fsummit.geekysocial.com/award-2016/
To select the best five F-commerce business of this year, five categories shall be taken into account, including product/ service quality, pages to answer that question in the activity of customer (responsiveness), product/service delivery quality (delivery responsiveness), branding and post-sale service.
Winner will be determined through the votes of two categories - public voting and jury voting.
Public voting will be counted in this categories by multiplying the “total number of votes” and “points” on the basis of product. For instance, if the average rating is 4.5 and total number of vote is 100, then total number of point will be 450. Public voting will be open till May 5.
Jury voting will be scored on the basis of our respected panel of juries score. Judges will score on the basis of same five public categories.
40% public voting and 60% jury voting will be made with a net score to select winners.
