Abandoned rocket launcher, hand-grenade, bullets recovered in Jessore

One rocket launcher, one grenade and 279 rounds of bullets have been recovered from a land in Jessore sadar's Kamalpur area on Wednesday.

Jessore Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ilias Hossain confirmed it to the Dhaka Tribune. "Pakistani soldiers might be abandoned the explosives in the land during the 1971 Liberation War,” said the police official.

None was detained regarding the matter and no case was filed yet, he continued.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered one rocket launcher, one grenade and 279 rounds of bullets, said the OC.

“We are assuming that Pakistani soldiers might be abandoned the explosives in the land during the 1971 Liberation War,” said the police official.

None was detained regarding the matter and no case was filed yet, he continued.
