Before you head out

It's always better to set out your outfit the night before

If you're fortunate enough to find yourself in a job you love and are passionate about, mornings can be easier than most people's start to the day. While you're strapped and ready to head to the office, you might even catch yourself in the mirror saying, "Damn. I look good." Unfortunately, sometimes when you reach your work place and realise maybe what you had on wasn't too great to begin with. The problem is some of you are in a rush to get ready in the morning, taking 15 minutes to run out the door.

In order to look your best, you have to be prepared beforehand, specifically the night before. Here is the best possible way to be on top of your work look for the day.

  1. Always make sure of the weather, and change your outfit accordingly.

  2. Pay attention to every detail, from the clothing to the accessories. Leave nothing out, and lay everything out.

  3. Iron your shirt or trousers, if they need it.

  4. Hang all of your clothes on a hook. You can always instal a small hood on the back of your bedroom door or in your closet. Keep all other personal belongings nearby so nothing is forgotten.

  5. Now, breathe, take a step back and evaluate what's in front of you. You have to remind yourself that work is several hours away in the morning, not in 15 minutes. Take the morning to groom youself, while the rest has been taken care of the night before.

When all is said and done, it would be wise to invest in a full-body-length mirror if you don't already have one.
