All you need to get brows on fleek!

  •

Although previously mostly ignored, fashionistas all over the world are now bowing down to the mighty eyebrows, so much so that it is now the most important part of their makeup regime. Needless to say we have Kim Kardashian, and her iconic hashtag, to thank for this uncharted, life-altering discovery. Eyebrows done right can give your face added character and depth. The eyebrow upsurge is certainly not a fad so it's best to have some indispensable tips and tricks in your kitty. Read ahead to know just what you need to get eyebrows on fleek!

Shape it up

The shape of your brow is everything. Follow the steps to trace the outline of your eyebrows with a brow pencil:

  1. To get the right shape align tweezers or a brow pencil vertically with the upper bridge of your nose. That's where your eyebrow should begin.

  2. As for your arch, angle the tweezers so that it aligns with the outermost end of your nose and the outermost end of your iris.

  3. To find where your brow should end, slant the tweezer further so that it touches the outermost end of your nose and also passes along the outermost end of your eye.

  4. Lastly hold the tweezer horizontally to see if your brows are on the same level.

Once you have your brow outlined, pluck any excess hair above and below your brow. Then brush your brow upwards with an old toothbrush or a spool brush and trim the excess ends with a small scissor. It is best to trim them because tweezing can leave ugly bald patches.

Fill it in

Use brow pencil, brow gel or brow powder to fill in your brows. For natural looking brows, fill in along your eyebrows with feathery strokes and steer away from filling the front of your brows too starkly. Then take a spool brush or an old cleaned mascara wand and blend well to get rid of any hard lines. Then brush with a clear brow gel to set the shape and keep hair from moving out of place. Skip this part if you are using brow gel to fill in. For a crisp and precise look clean up the mess with a concealer and if you want to go an extra mile, use a white liner or a stroke of highlighter under the brows to make them pop. Master these foolproof hacks and your squad will want to keep up with you for amazing brows, not the Kardashians.
