Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel recovered a bloodied pair of jeans, the butt of a pistol, ammunition cartridges, hockey sticks, ropes and heroin tuseday from the office of Narayanganj MP Nasim Osman’s son, Ajmeri Osman, where walls and furniture were found ridden with bullet holes.
The Rab 11 commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander Jahangir Alam, and Twoki murder case’s Investigation Officer ASP Robiul Islam led the two-hour-long drive at the alleged torture cell on 38/4 Allama Iqbal Road in the town.
Ajmeri, the nephew of Awami League leader Shamim Osman, was not at the office then. His driver Jamsed, office staff Litu and Shipon, and security guard Shukkur were picked up by Rab.
The torture cell was one of the six Twoki’s father Rafiur Rabbi disclosed to the law enforcers. Rabbi claimed that those places were run by the sons of Nasim Osman and Shamim Osman.
Tanvir Mohammad Twoki went missing on March 6 and his body was recovered from a canal in Narayanganj town two days later. His father, a cultural activist, filed a case on that very day with Narayanganj sadar police.
