'The number of the people killed in the accident might increase,' added the officer
At least eight people, including three of a family, have been killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway near Nabiganj of Habiganj.
The accident took place on Monday evening when a Sylhet-bound BRTA bus collided head-on with two CNG-run autorickshaws, killing five people on the spot.
Confirming the incident, Sherpur Highway police outpost OC Md Ershadul Haque Bhuiyan said: “The identities of the deceased are still unknown. There are children and women among them.
“We are running a rescue operation. The number of the people killed in the accident might increase,” added the officer.
