At least nine people were killed in separate road accidents in five districts.
The incidents took place in Gazipur, Barisal, Madaripur, Noakhali, and Comilla between Thursday morning and afternoon.

In Gazipur, three people were killed and another was injured in two separate road collisions on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway and one in Kaliganj.
The deceased are Maruf, 13, a pickup van driver’s assistant, Md Miraj Uddin Akand, 20, a college student and Azgar Ali, 38, teacher of a local school.
A pickup van travelling at high speeds rear-ended a truck in the Member Bari area. The crash left Maruf dead on the spot and the driver severely injured.
Later in the day, Azgar was hit by a bus while he was crossing the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in front of the Gachha police station Board Bazar.
Around the same time, Miraj died on the spot when his motorcycle collided with a covered van near the Dhaka-Bypass Asian Highway.
In Barisal, a man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a BRTC bus at Kashipur on the city's Barisal-Dhaka Highway.
The deceased ABM Jasim Uddin, 37, was a resident of Telikhali area of Patuakhali and was working at a private company in Dhaka.
Barisal Airport Police Station SI Alamgir Hossain said locals rescued him and took him to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
In Madaripur, a teenager was killed and three others were injured when a van collided head-on with a human hauler at Miyabari on the Panchchar-Shibchar regional road in Shibchar.
The deceased Hasan Sikder, 14, was sent to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical College Hospital, Faridpur, where he succumbed to his injuries.
In Noakhali, two madrasa students were killed after being crushed by a truck in Companiganj upazila.
The accident took place on the Basurhat-Natun Bazar road in front of Shimultali Forkania Madrasa of Basurhat Municipality, according to media reports.
According to the locals, Moniruzzaman Ifaz, 22, with his younger brother Ashkar Ifaz, 10, and nephew Minhazul Islam, 8, were going to Darul Akram Madrasa on a motorcycle at around 8 am. When they reached the Shimultali Madrasa of the municipality, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit their motorcycle, leaving two children dead on the spot.
In Comilla, two men were killed and three others injured in a collision between a CNG-run autorickshaw and a pickup van.
The incident took place in the Moutupi area of the Sikdar junction on the Homna-Gauripur road.
The deceased are fish traders Narayan Das, 42, and Lakshman Das, 45.
