At least four people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Comilla, Bogra and Rangpur.

In Comilla, two people were killed when a speeding van crashed into a three-wheeler on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway near Suagazi in Sadar upazila early Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as three-wheeler driver Jamil Miya, 32, of Vatpara village of the upazila, and pedestrian Fazal Miya, 30, of Dhonpur village of the same upazila, reports UNB.
Police said the Chittagong-bound van crashed into the three-wheeler after its driver lost control of the vehicle on the high-speed corridor near Suagazi, killing both the victims on the spot.
Md Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Mainamati Highway police, said they had seized the vehicle though its driver fled. "The bodies have been brought to the police station," the OC said.
In Bogra, A college student was run over and killed under a truck in Shahjahanpur upazila on Tuesday night.
The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Rangpur Highway, near a filling station in Shahjahanpur cantonment area at around 8pm.
The deceased was identified as Md Limon, 22, a student of Habibullah Bahar College in Dhaka, confirmed Inspector Baniul Anam of Sherpur Highway police outpost.
According to sources, Limon was from Katabari village under Demajani union of the upazila. The speeding truck hit him as he was headed home from Dhaka on his motorcycle on Tuesday.
Local rushed Limon to the Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College, where he succumbed to his critical injuries at 11pm.
“We are trying to arrest the truck driver,” said Inspector Baniul.
In Rangpur, a police officer was killed and his wife and son were injured in a road accident at Hajirhat point on the Rangpur-Dinajpur Highway in the metropolis Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Arifuzzaman Arif, an assistant sub-inspector of Rangpur Sadar Kotwali police station.
Rangpur Sadar Kotwali police station OC Mamtazul Islam said ASI Arif along with his wife and son were going to visit a doctor in Rangpur city from Paglapeer area on a motorcycle at 9pm Tuesday night.
"Soon after the ASI stopped his motorcycle before a large pothole at Hajirhat point on the highway, a bus rammed into his vehicle injuring all three of them," the OC said.
Police immediately rushed the critically injured victims to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, where the ASI succumbed to his injuries at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at midnight.
The deceased’s wife and son are still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
