Hurricane Nicole was initially a Category Two hurricane, but picked up pace on Wednesday with speeds well over 200 km/h. Nicole was located about 180 miles (290 kilometers) south-southwest of Bermuda and was packing maximum sustained winds of 215 km/h, according to the NHC.
