College authority called the incident an act of mischief
Bollywood actor Sunny Leone’s name appeared at the top of the merit list for admission to an undergraduate program of a college in Kolkata, India.
Kolkata’s Ashutosh College posted their first list for the admission to BA (Honours) in English on their website where the actor’s name was at the top of the list, the Hindustantimes reports.
An application ID and roll number accompanied the name on the list. Alongside the name, 400 or full marks in the best of four subjects in class 12 board examinations were also mentioned on the list.
An official of the college called the incident an act of “mischief” and said someone intentionally submitted a fake application with Sunny Leone’s name.
“We have asked the admission department to correct it. We will also conduct an inquiry into the incident,” the official said.
See you all in college next semester!!! Hope your in my class ;) 😆😜

Sunny Leone found out about the incident and wrote a tweet that said: “See you all in college next semester!!! Hope you're in my class.”
This is not the first time that the actor’s name made it to the top of a merit list.
Last year, Sunny Leone’s name was on the draft list for junior engineer post in Bihar Public Health Engineering Department.
Sunny Leone is currently in Los Angeles with her family. She flew to LA with her husband Daniel Weber and kids Nisha, Noah and Asher, after the coronavirus lockdown was lifted in India.
