14-party calls rally protesting 'anti-govt conspiracy'

Update : 29 Apr 2016, 07:35 PM
The ruling Awami League-led 14-party alliance will hold rallies in Dhaka and Rajshahi protesting “conspiracy against the government and the country by national and international evil forces.” The rally in Dhaka will be held at Central Shaheed Minar on May 8 and in Rajshahi on May 14. The alliance spokesperson and Awami League Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim announced the programmes on Friday after a meeting held at Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's political office in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. The ruling alliance also claimed that the evil forces have been carrying out secret killings and arson attacks to tarnish the image of the 14-party government and assume power. Nasim said: “BNP and Jamaat have been plotting conspiracies to create anarchy in the country after failing to join the national polls on January 5, 2014.” He, however, said the 14-party alliance was ready to resist the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat and their foreign masters. Health Minister Nasim said: “BNP-Jamaat and their foreign masters are trying to create an unstable environment in the country in order to foil the rapid development flow of Sheikh Hasina's government.” He urged law enforcement agencies to be more vigilant and asked them to trace down the criminals and secret attackers.
