Now explosives recovered from Uttara canal

Police on Saturday recovered three bags from a canal in Dhaka's Uttara – the same one where a huge cache of arms and ammunition were found on June 18. “The bags contain five walkie-talkies, two repeaters, 55 long improvised explosive devices and 270 improvised explosive devices,” said Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman. “We recovered the bags around 11am, following a tip-off,” he added.
