Railway conducts eviction drive in Ctg

Bangladesh Railway (East Zone) has freed two acres of land from the encroachers and pulled down 200 establishments illegally sprang up on railway land at Ice Factory Road area in the city of Chittagong. Ishrat Reza, estate officer of Bangladesh Railway (East Zone), led the eviction drive on Sunday with the help of Railway Nirapatta Bahini, Chittagong Metropolitan Police and Government Railway Police. “A sizable portion of land belonging to Bangladesh Railway is still in the hands of encroachers. The eviction drive against illegal establishments and encroachers will continue in the days to come,” said the estate officer.
