Chittagong Hill Tracts Regional Council Chairman Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma addressed the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples 2016 seminar, themed ‘Land grabbing, communalism and preventing terrorism and protection of the rights of indigenous, marginalised communities’ at the Cirdap auditorium in Dhaka.
Minister Rashed Khan Menon, said: “Not only Hindus, Buddhists and Christians but Muslims are also being killed by extremists.”
Advocate Sulatana Kamal said: “We need to develop people-oriented systems in the country. The government should work with the people to eliminate extremism and communalism.”
