The withdrawal of the ban on Bangladesh's labour in Saudia Arabi was a result of the government's diplomatic effort, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam has said.
He was speaking to the journalists after inaugurating a plant fair organised at Green Plaza of Rajshahi City Corporation on Thursday.
The divisional office of the Forestry Department organised the fair.
The minister said the government continued the diplomatic effort since KSA stopped taking labours except the house-help six years ago.
KSA's Labour and Social Welfare Ministry revised the decision on Wednesday last.
The FM said from now on people of any profession can go to the country to work.
