The president of Bangladesh Awami League, Sheikh Hasina, has approved its full committees for Dhaka north and Dhaka south units after bifurcating the previous single committee.
She approved the two committees on Sunday.
The lists of the new committees of the city have been published after the premier's approval while Annisul Huq was made advisor of a nine member advisory committee, says a press release issued by AL president's political office in city's Dhanmondi area.

Earlier on April 10 this year, with the permission of the party central working committee, AL president Sheikh Hasina approved AKM Rahmat Ullah and Abul Hasnat as presidents of the north and south units respectively.
In addition, the Minister for Disaster Management and Relief, Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Food Minister Kamrul Islam, Dhaka South Mayor Sayeed Khokon, and independent parliamentary member Haji Salim have been demoted within the party ranks.
