Diplomats happy with security measures

The diplomats working in the country have lauded the security measures taken by the government for them after the Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery attack. They came up with the comment at a programme in the capital’s Gulshan on Wednesday. Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq has ensured all kinds of security measures for the diplomats assigned to the country. He was addressing the programme where a good number of diplomats of different countries were present. Through projector Annisul showed the security steps taken by the law enforcement agencies including DMP, RAB for the envoys working here. Later, US Ambassador Marcia Bernicat addressed a programme entitled “Life and Business as Visual” with the presence of diplomats serving in Bangladesh. Following the bloody militant attack targeting foreigners at a café at Gulshan in the capital on July 1, the government has taken additional security measures for the diplomats working in Dhaka. Moreover, local administration has already taken adequate security measures for the foreigners working across the country. They were advised to take help of law enforcers during visit to other places.
