Police launch help line app

Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque inaugurated the service, named BD Police Help Line, in the headquarters on Thursday noon. The IGP said any one can use the android supported app to inform police about the crimes he/she experienced or witnessed. A total of five senior police officials including the OC concerned will be notified with the message instantly and there is no scope to be leaked the identity of the informer in the service, Shahidul also said. According to the service, the informer or the police officials can arrange intercommunication for further query. The app is available in Google Play Store and the force have been developing another app supported for apple mobile phones.
