Rajendrapur Station Master Tazuddin said: “One of the 120 compartments of a special military freight train veered off the railway track around 5am on Thursday, halting the train communication on the route.”
“The schedule of Mymensingh-bound Mohonganj Express, Jamalpur-bound Jamuna Express and 47 Express were delayed due to the derailment.”
“After over seven hours halt, rail communication resumed on the route as Railway engineers of Joydebpur Railway Junction salvaged the derailed compartment at 11:15am,” the station master added.
