
Hawker Md Siraj filed the case with Paltan police station around 6:15pm on Monday.
Paltan police SI Monirujjman Mia said: “Siraj filed the case against 150 unnamed, including the officials and staffs of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) over the clash.
“In his case, he mentioned that the hawkers were attacked with local sharp weapons and hockey sticks and their shops were vandalised and looted during the clash.”
On Thursday, hundreds of hawkers locked into clashes with policemen and DSCC officials following the eviction drive against illegal makeshift stores in Gulistan.
Later, the DSCC authorities demolished several hundreds of illegal structures from Bangabandhu Square Underground Market, Dhaka South Trade Centre, Dhaka North Trade Centre, Gulistan Shopping Complex, Sergent Ahad Police Box and Fulbaria area with bulldozers.
