A video clip of the incident went viral on the social media, triggering protests across Bangladesh.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Umme Saraban Tahura's court accepted the charges on Tuesday and fixed Nov 29 for the next hearing.
The case was also shifted to Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court, Sylhet Metropolitan Police’s Additional Deputy Commissioner Zedan Al Musa told the Dhaka Tribune.
Khadiza is currently being treated at Dhaka's Square Hospital.
