“Acting on a tip-off, law enforcers conducted the drive from 9am to 3pm and recovered a the firearms with ammunition,” said Lieutenant Colonel Miftah Uddin Ahmed, commanding officer of RAB 7.
He said they had also arrested Abdul Mabud, 40, and Abu Taher, 42, during the drive.
Lieutenant Colonel Miftah Uddin Ahmed, commanding officer of RAB 7, at a press conference in the evening said the arms would be sold to Rohingya, pirates, and forest robbers.
“Mabud is accused in several cases. A case will be filed under arms act,” he said.
The recovered arms include 14 guns, one shooter gun, one rifle, 22 rounds of bullets, and an air gun.
