A six-year-old boy has been killed in a road accident in Gopalganj.
The deceased Siyam was a Grade I student of Kotalipara Komolkuri Bidya Niketon.
Witnesses said Siyam was run over by a Gopalganj-bound bus from Poysharhat in front of the Kotalipara Upazila Parishad on Saturday morning.
He was killed on the spot, Kotalipara police OC Kamrul Faruk said.
Agitated locals chased and stopped the bus, and later set it on fire.
Traffic on the Gopalganj-Kotalipara-Poysharhat road came to a standstill for several hours after the accident.
