A general diary has been filed over the fire incident at Bangladesh Bank headquarters that partially damaged the office of the Foreign Exchange Policy Department Thursday night.
Bangladesh Bank Joint Director Nurul Islam filed the general diary with Motijheel police station on Friday morning.
Motijheel police station Sub-Inspector Ibrahim confirmed this to Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier in the morning, members of the Bangladesh Bank’s investigation committee visited the site.

The probe body formed by the central bank to investigate the incident is set to submit a report by March 28.
On the other hand, Fire Service deputy director (Dhaka) heads another five-member committee. It has been asked to submit a report within five working days.
The fire originated on the 13th floor of Bangladesh Bank building around 9:30pm on Thursday. Twelve firefighting teams doused the blaze within an hour with no reports of casualties.
The fire gutted parts of the office of the Foreign Exchange Policy Department.
