British couple tours Bangladesh by bicycle
A British couple have crossed Bangladesh by bicycle as a part of a two-year world tour which aims to cover 22,000km and take in 31 countries. Ewan Paterson and Katie Halliday left London on October 2, 2016 and had already visited 11 countries before arriving in Dhaka from Yangon on March 22. For this part of their epic journey they travelled by air, as the Bangladesh land border with Myanmar was closed. Two days later they began the Bangladesh leg of their trip from the Rose Garden in old Dhaka, when around 200 local cyclists joined them.
