Biman cancels two more Hajj flights
The authorities of Biman Bangladesh Airlines have cancelled two more scheduled Hajj flights due to the shortage of pilgrims. The flights BG-1055 and BG-305 were scheduled to fly at 7:25am and 4pm on Thursday, respectively. However, three other Biman Hajj flights will operate today as per schedule. A total of 52,483 Hajj pilgrims were flown to Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh until Thursday morning.

In the last few days, the national carrier has been forced to cancel 21 flights after failing to get the stipulated Hajj pilgrims on board in time.

Around 127,198 Bangladeshi pilgrims are scheduled to perform Hajj this year, under both government and private schemes.

Biman has been given 144 slots to carry 63,599 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia this year.
