
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha’s wife Sushma Sinha has also left Dhaka for Australia.
She left by a Singapore Airlines flight around 12am on Wednesday, four days after her husband.
The chief justice’s Personal Secretary Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
Sinha left for Australia on October 13, issuing a statement to the press that he was not ill and had been embarrassed by the prime minister’s criticism against him.

President Abdul Hamid listed the 11 major allegations, including money laundering, financial scam, corruptions and moral degradation, against the chief justice.
A notice to this effect, signed by Registrar General of Supreme Court Syed Aminul Islam, titled “Statement of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh regarding the written statement given by Honourable Chief Justice SK Sinha before he went abroad on leave,” was published on the Supreme Court’s website on October 14.
The statement said that the written statement that Sinha supplied to journalists on October 13 before his departure was confusing and the Supreme Court had issued this statement to clarify the matter.
