The government has appointed former senior secretary Dr Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan as the chairman of the National Board of Revenue.
He has been brought back to the government service on a two-year contract, according a notification of the public administration ministry issued on Wednesday.
Before going into retirement, he served as secretary to the Commerce Ministry and the bridges division under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges.

The post was left vacant as NBR Chairman Nojibur Rahman was recently made the principal secretary to the prime minister.
