The victims’ family members say the bodies will be returned home soon
Two Bangladeshi workers have been killed in a factory fire in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, family members say.
The deceased have been identified as Kamrul Islam, 38, and Yasin alias Fakir, 39 — both hailing from Comilla’s Chouddagram Upazila.
Members of the victims’ families say Kamrul and Yasin worked at a foam manufacturing factory in Sanaya and lived on the upper floor of the factory. They died in a fire sparked by an electric short-circuit.
The victims’ family members say the bodies will be returned home soon.
The oil-rich Middle-East is Bangladesh’s largest manpower export market and Saudi Arabia is one of the preferred destinations for Bangladeshi workers.
But, over the years, many Bangladeshis have died in factory fires in the Kingdom.
