Telenor Youth Forum winners to represent Bangladesh in Oslo

Sixty applicants were selected from 1,400 applications who presented their idea on September 4 and September 5 to win the seven coveted spots in the TYF Grand Finale

The winners of Telenor Youth Forum (TYF) 2018 will represent Bangladesh in Oslo, Norway, in December 2018 to join TYF delegates from seven other Telenor Business Units (BU) countries.

Out of the 8 finalists, Saima Mehedi Khan and Samin Alam from IBA, Dhaka University won tickets to Oslo at the Grand Finale TYF 2018 held Sunday at GPHouse.

ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present at the ceremony as Chief Guest.

VC Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, were present at the Grand Finale, among others.

Each year two individuals are selected as winners and get the chance to represent Bangladesh at the TYF global event. This year’s winning ideas are |”KrishiNet” and “Project Shurakhha”.   

Grameenphone CEO Michael Foley spoke at the program.

Norwegian Ambassador Sidsel Bleken, Danish Ammbassador Winnie Estrup Petersen, the High Commissioner of Pakistan Rafiuzzaman Siddiqui and Bangladesh University of Professionals VC Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, were present at the Grand Finale, among others.
