‘We are addressing the issues one by one, since it is impossible to do everything at once’
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni announced that the government will appoint more teachers in order to resolve the shortage at schools.
She made the remark at an event on Friday, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Haimchar Government Boys High School, in Chandpur.
Speaking as chief guest at the event, she said: "One of the problems at educational institutions is the lack of teachers; therefore more tutors will be recruited to address the problem."
Dipu Moni assured that the recruitment process would be transparent, similarly to the previous Sheikh Hasina-led governments.
The minister also said the government had resolved various problems plaguing the education sector while developing its infrastructure.
"We are addressing the issues one by one, since it is impossible to do everything at once," she added.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Samar Kanti Basak presided over the program, while Upazila Parishad Chairman Nur Hossain Patwary, Deputy Inspector General Nibas Chandra Majhi, Chandpur Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Moinul Hossain and Additional Superintendent of Police Md Mizanur Rahman, were also present at the event.
