Students of Dhaka University’s Ruqayyah Hall on Tuesday were protesting the irregularities that mired the Ducsu polls held on Monday.
They were also demanding the resignation of their provost Professor Zeenat Huda, as well as for holding hall union polls.
Candidates of all the panels who contested during Tuesday’s Ducsu polls, barring Bangladesh Chhatra League, were found to be protesting among the regular students late on Wednesday night.
They will remain in front of the hall office until the provost resigns, they remarked.
As of the writing of this report, the Ducsu election returning officer of Ruqayyah Hall Farhana Ferdousi, and a few other resident tutors were in the area to appease the demonstrating students.
