Bangladesh defeated Spain by 5-3 sets in the 1/12 game of the team elimination round and qualified for the 1/8 round in the second day of the World Archery Championships 2019 in Netherlands yesterday.
In the Men’s Singles, Bangladesh’s Roman Sana beat Switzerland’s Rufer Thomas by 7-1 in the 1/48 match and qualified for the 1/24 round, where Shana defeated Mexican Alvarado Santin Angel David by 6-2. Sana will play against Australian Tyack Ryan in the 1/16 round. Mohammad Tamimul Islam lost to Dutch Wijler Steve by 6-2, while Mohammad Hakim Ahmed Rubel was defeated by British Wise Alexander by 6-2.

In the Women’s singles, Bangladesh’s Beauty Roy was defeated by British Folkard Naomi by 6-5.
In Mixed Team, Bangladesh (Md Roman Sana and Beauty Roy) claimed the 23rd spot scoring 1311 points. In the elimination round, Bangladesh defeated Russia by 5-3 in the 1/12 match and qualified for the 1/8 match, where Bangladesh will compete against Japan.
