Light to moderate rain likely across Bangladesh

Temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in one or two places of Dhaka

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted that light-to-moderate rainfall or thunder shower is likely to happen at a few places across the country in the next 24 hours.

"Light-to-moderate rain or thunder storms—accompanied by temporary gusty wind—is likely to happen in many parts of the Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions; and in one or two places of the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Ranpgur and Sylhet divisions," read a met office bulletin issued on Thursday.

Day temperature may rise by 1-2°C and night temperature mayremain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.

The highest rainfall was recorded at 73 millimeters (mm) at Dimla upazila of Rangpur district.

The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 33°C in Cox’s Bazar while minimum temperature recorded was 22.7°C in Faridpur and Gopalganj.

In Dhaka, the sun should set at 5.51pm and rise at 5.49am on Friday.
