IEDCR: No new coronavirus cases in Bangladesh in last 24hrs

Four patients have also recovered in the last 24 hours

There has been no reported cases of coronavirus infected patients in Bangladesh, in the last 24 hours.

The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Director Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora made the announcement while addressing an online press briefing on Saturday.

Bangladesh also did not see further deaths from the coronavirus or Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the IEDCR director added.

This means that the number of total coronavirus patients in the country remains static at 48 confirmed cases, as of yet.

Also, four more patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus. With the latest development, a total of 15 patients have recovered so far.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed five deaths from Covid-19, a new strain of coronavirus, which according to worldometer has infected 597,267 people and claimed the lives of 27,370 people till 1pm Saturday. 133,373 infected people have also recovered across the world.
