The message was sent to all police stations across the country on Friday
Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary has asked members of the law enforcement agencies to remain tolerant, polite and exercise utmost professionalism with the public in general while discharging their duties.
In a message being sent on Friday to all police stations across the country, the police chief, however, instructed law enforcers to allow uninterrupted movement of people who were tasked with ensuring emergency services and transportation of goods.
IGP's short message says, "Ensure free movement of people and vehicles for emergency services like medical services, medicine, supply of daily essentials, food, utility services, banking, and mobile phones and be polite and have patience with citizens of the country while you're on duty."
The police chief said, Bangladesh Police is committed to enforce laws, maintain social order, reduce crime, enhance public safety and ensure internal security with the active support of the community.
