State-run Sangsad Bangladesh Television has started broadcasting lessons for students of class VI to class IX from Sunday, as all educational institutions remain closed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The classes began at 9:00am and continued till 12:00pm and were aired again from 2pm to 5pm, reports BSS.
This schedule will be followed every day from Sunday to Thursday.
Considering the current state of the coronovirus outbreak, the government has extended the closure of educational institutions till April 9.
Earlier, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) published a five-day class routine on its website for the television lesson programme named ‘My School at My Home’ on Saturday.
According to the routine, two 20-minute classes of each grade will be aired between 9am and 12pm. Classes for sixth graders will be held between 9.05am and 9.45am, seventh graders from 9.50am to 10.30am, eighth graders from 10.35am to 11.15am and ninth graders from 11.20am to 12pm.
Routines for the days after that will be published on April 1.
The DSHE urged the school authorities to email them the lists of skilled teachers by March 30 for recording classes for tenth grade students.
