War-wounded freedom fighters and members of martyred families thanked the prime minister and expressed their gratitude
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted all freedom fighters of the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today.
The premier sent flowers, fruits, and sweets to all war-wounded freedom fighters and families of martyrs at the Martyred and War-wounded Freedom Fighters’ Rehabilitation Centre (Muktijoddha Tower-1) on Ghaznavi Road in the capital’s Mohammadpur area, as a mark of respect.
Prime Minister’s Assistant Private Secretary Gazi Hafizur Rahman Liku, Protocol Officer SM Khurshid-ul-Alam, and Assistant Press Secretary ABM Sarwar-e-Alam Sarkar presented the items on Monday morning, reports BSS.
In their brief speech, the officials representing the premier prayed for the protection of their countrymen from the coronavirus pandemic. They also prayed that the country makes a swift recovery from the crisis.
The war-wounded freedom fighters and members of the martyred families thanked and expressed their gratitude to the prime minister for remembering them on every national day and festival like Independence Day, Victory Day, Eid, and Pahela Baishakh.
They wished the prime minister good health and long life.
