The driver of the Bihongo Paribahan bus, which crushed two people to death in the capital’s Bangla Motor area on June 4, has been sent to jail by a Dhaka court on Sunday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqul Islam sent driver Jafar Mollah to jail, cancelling his plea for bail, reports BSS.
The court came up with the order as police produced him before the court after the end of his one-day remand.
The bus (Dhaka-Metro-Ba-14-1990), driven by Jafar, crushed a motorcycle rider and a pedestrian in Bangla Motor on the morning of June 4, leaving the two dead on the spot.
The two victims are hawker Md Belayet, 52, and courier service staff Maksudur Rahman, 42.
