19 Indian sailors leave Dhaka on special flight

A total of 19 Indian sailors have left Bangladesh on a special flight for their home country.

These Indian nationals were stranded in Bangladesh due to the ongoing Covid-19 forced travel restrictions.

Novoair Senior Manager (marketing, sales) AKM Mahfuzul Alam confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.

“A Novoair special flight, carrying the Indian sailors, landed in Kolkata on at 2:55pm local time on Tuesday.

“Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, 55 Bangladeshi-born French citizens will be brought to Dhaka from Sylhet. They are expected to leave Bangladesh for France soon,” he said.

“Novoair is currently operating three flights from Dhaka to Chittagong, three flights to Jessore, four flights to Saidpur and one flight to Sylhet while maintaining government issued health guidelines,” he added.
