This will perhaps be the last repatriation flight in a few months for Thai nationals in Bangladesh
Another batch of 89 Thai nationals in Bangladesh has been repatriated back to Thailand via Thai Smile Airways.
The Royal Thai Embassy staff, led by Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, saw off the passengers at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, which departed Dhaka at 4:25pm on Friday and will reach Bangkok the same day.
This is the fourth repatriation flight for Thai nationals in Bangladesh, and will perhaps be the last repatriation flight in a few months, reads a statement issued by the Thai Embassy.
The 89 Thai returnees will be subjected to mandatory quarantine at a designated facility for 14 days to ensure safety for all.
Ambassador Arunrung and her team expressed their thanks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CAAB, Airport Authority of Bangladesh, Immigration Bureau, and Thai Smile airlines for their coordinated assistance.
