Marma youth wins Tk10 lakh from Walton

Earlier a tailor from Gazipur and a towel vendor from Naogaon also became millionaires after purchasing Walton refrigerators

A poultry farmer from Rangamati has won Tk10 lakh from Walton after purchasing a refrigerator from the company.

Chaithwai Aoung Marma received a cheque for the amount at Walton Plaza in Raozan upazila of Chittagong at an official ceremony.

Walton made the announcement through a press release on Monday.

Hailing from the Betbunia Sugar Mill village, Aoung had purchased a refrigerator worth Tk32,500 from Raozan Plaza. Shortly afterwards, he received a short message service (SMS) on his mobile phone from Walton, notifying him that he won Tk10 lakh.

Thanking Walton for offering such rewards to its customers, he said: “I  learned about Walton’s digital campaign through newspapers and television. Almost all of my friends and relatives have bought Walton refrigerators. I have heard from them that Walton refrigerators are high in quality but affordable in price. We have been using a rice cooker from Walton and it’s been providing excellent service. For these reasons, I decided to buy the refrigerator from them. But I was totally surprised to win TK10 lakh. I will spend some of this money for expanding my business and the rest will be deposited for my daughters.”

Earlier, Wazed Ali, a tailor from Gazipur, and Solaiman Haque, a towel vendor from Naogaon,

also become millionaires after purchasing Walton refrigerators.

Walton is conducting the ‘Digital Campaign’ across the country to accelerate the growth of their customer base. Under season seven of the campaign, customers may win Tk1 million (Tk10 lakh) through purchasing any model of fridge, washing machine or microwave oven from Walton plaza, distributor outlet and E-Plaza across the country. Customers may also win sure cash vouchers worth of a maximum Tk 1 lakh. 

The campaign will run until the Eid-ul-Azha.
