Bangladesh Railway has decided to issue a refund for the advance tickets for which the trips were cancelled till March 31.
The state-owned rail transport agency disclosed the information in a public notice issued on Friday, reports Bangla Tribune.
The notice said that people can apply for the refund from July 10 to July 18, from 8am to 3pm at the station master's office.
To get the refund, the application has to be sent to CCM East Chittagong through the concerned station masters along with the main ticket, or its printed copy if bought online, and an attested copy of the national identity card (NID) of the purchaser.
Train services were suspended from March 24 owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Inter-city train services resumed on a limited scale from May 31 in compliance with health regulations. Currently, 17 intercity trains are running on various routes.
