A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has brought back 417 Bangladeshi nationals from Riyadh.
Biman spokesperson Tahera Khondoker confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Sunday.
The returnees had been stranded in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) due to travel restrictions imposed by the Saudi authorities to contain the spread of Covid-19.
The flight arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka from Dammam Airport at 8:37pm.
All the returnees held construction jobs in Saudi Arabia and were sent into home quarantine after thermal screening at the airport, said Dr Zahirul Islam, health in-charge at the airport.
Earlier on July 22, as many as 415 Bangladeshis returned home from Saudi Arabia by a special chartered flight of Biman.
A total of 2,886 Bangladeshi nationals have returned home from Saudi Arabia between June 21 and July 26.
