JCI Dhaka East holds webinar on investment, tax and VAT, in the pandemic

JCI Dhaka East, the first local branch of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh, broadcast a webinar on “Investment, Tax and VAT, during Covid-19.”

The discussion session was streamed live from the organization’s Facebook page on Saturday, said a media release. 

Prof Masud A Khan, founder and chairperson of Better Bangladesh Foundation, Md Tarikul Islam, a partner of Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co Chartered Accountants, NR Vicky, owner of Tokyo Express, and M Aminur Rahman, CEO and chief photographer of Checkmate, were the speakers on the webinar.

The impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the investment climate of Bangladesh was discussed in the hour long informative session. The speakers also talked about changes to expect when dealing with issues of tax and VAT amid the pandemic.

The webinar was presided over by Wasif Wahed, president of JCI Dhaka East. Shovona Shahid, director of JCI Dhaka East, moderated the event.
