Attorney General Mahbubey Alam recovers from Covid-19

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, who is undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, has recovered from Covid-19.

Mahbubey Alam's wife Binta Mahbub confirmed the information on Sunday, and said that his physical condition has also improved.

"He has recovered from Covid-19 and is doing better than before. He had breakfast in the morning. His children are now going to visit him in the hospital,” she said.

Binta Mahbub also wished to express her gratitude to everyone including the prime minister, who has been in constant touch for updates on the health of the attorney general.

Earlier, on Friday morning, the 71 year old was moved to the ICU due to increased pulse rate and some breathing complications.

Mahbubey Alam was admitted to the CMH on September 4 after his Covid-19 test came back positive.
