Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's aunt and Sheikh Helal Uddin MP's mother Sheikh Razia Naser passed away on Monday night.
The 83-year-old was undergoing treatment at a Dhaka hospital due to old age-related complications.
Sheikh Tonmoy, MP of Bagerhat 2 and grandson of Sheikh Razia Naser, confirmed the matter to media.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep sorrow after her aunt’s demise.
President Md Abdul Hamid also expressed his condolences on her death.
