The Bankers’ Selection Committee (BSC) has suspended the upcoming recruitment test for the post of senior officer at seven state-owned banks and financial institutions due to undisclosed reasons.
The exam, slated to seek candidates for 771 posts out of 140,155 aspirants, was scheduled to be held on December 5 across 67 designated exam centres across the capital.
Arif Hossain Khan, general manager of Bangladesh Bank and member secretary of the BSC, confirmed this to the media on Saturday.
Out of the 771 posts, 264 were for Sonali Bank, 211 for Rupali Bank, 139 for Janata Bank, 113 for Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, 30 for Investment Corporation of Bangladesh, eight for Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation and six for Karmasangsthan Bank.
